Nothing quite like the emotional whiplash of getting excited for a free game only to find that itās already in your library.
russian publisher.
Is that a bad thing? What difference does it make to playing a free game?
popularization of russian content. more views/downloads/follows = more sales = more taxes = more money for the russian war machine. do I really have to explain this? :)
You have to be some special level of deluded to think that some cornball game thatās going to sell a thousand units is fueling a war machine. Jesus Christā¦. get off the internet for a while.
yeah, Iām just a deluded Ukrainian who spends his 6 hours of electricity a day to educate people of the first world countries that:
- every penny counts
- the approach is more important than the concrete numbers, be it russian products or Nestle products or anything else you care about. if you do care. if you donāt care, who among you and me is really deluded?
Keyboard Vagabond
I donāt know why Iām adding them, thereās like 4% chance I play one of those free games I got
Germany. :-( But why?
I would guess the blood. Germany has some really weird censorship laws.
No, Germany just requires that all games have an age rating. If a publisher canāt be bothered to even click through a short questionnaire on Steam, they donāt care about about any customer.
Germany straight up bans many video games. Here is a partial list. This game has much more obvious blood than many already banned in Germany. This is the chilling effect in action, it keeps many works, even those not explicitly banned, out of the market.
This game was delisted because it lacks the age rating. For āharmlessā games the questionnaire is enough, for āgoreā games Valve wants an USK rating, presumably to be not liable in court. This game is not on the index of banned games: https://www.schnittberichte.com/svds.php?Page=Indizierungen&Kat=Games
The game was free before 14 November 2024 (delist day on Steam). I got it then.
Edit: They seemingly delisted the game on their own one month before delist day: https://steamdb.info/changelist/25752421/
Thanks, OP.
But why is the Steam Android client trying to download and install Steam on my phone?
