Had an Irish colleague at a previous job. Asked him how he could possibly be this good at banter and he said everyone does this back home. General high level of banter by default.

Does anyone know when we even start to feel like a grow up? I’m sure I’ll look back at my 40s and wince.
Ah I see. Yep. And it’s easier to see it as you get older.
Didn’t want to miss out on the chance to diss myself though. I was as dumb as a rock back then. And in many ways, still am.

My progeny is a decade ahead of where I was at his age. Smarter and more self assured and stable.
He’s not dumber. But I’ve realised I am.
