Heat and energy are not the same thing, scrub. You can create heat no problem.

Yeah but that’s basically how deleting works for any normal system. You remove the pointer telling the computer where the data is, then you flag that section of data as free for writing to. It’s not until something writes over the data is it truly gone.

They didn’t. Homie is just mad they expanded into an area that didn’t actually need to revolutionized with repairability in mind. That’s not abandoning repairability in the slightest. Mayyyyybe they’re mad they’re selling a CPU with soldered RAM, but they tried to make it with swappable RAM and it turned out to be impossible from a physics perspective. Something about the timing, if I remember correctly. They’re really just selling that desktop because they were hyped on the CPU and thought it would make for a great enterprise workhorse. They threw it together crazy fast, too. It’s not like it took meaningful time away from their other projects. I would imagine a good chunk of their business customers have been asking for a desktop so they can source everything from them, but that’s pure speculation on my part.

I dunno man, people being furious about a very loose potential fascist association in an open source project while using a platform whose lead developer is a tankie. Kinda wild yelling at framework while supporting people who deny China’s human rights abuses.

The answer is that we don’t fund science at the rate that we should, especially not bug science. Want discoveries? Gotta pay someone to actually do the work.

If Nvidia the creditor? That’s real dumb. Don’t mix banking with business, there’s conflicting interests.

The economy is weird man, it’s all about collective vibes. If enough people in the right places care about these companies, they’ll see small changes and freak out, making their own small changes and so on and so forth.

They’re choosing to socially police a community, a thing humans do all the time.

Having seen one marvel movie, I thought this was spy-kids.

If your local town zoning forbids you from building detached accessory buildings accessory dwelling units for having your nephew live in, change the fucking zoning. Community is facilitated by convenience, and living within a stone's throw from loved ones is great way to build community.

I know that coding time is much more expensive than I can afford, but if I had the money I would clean up and fully-feature their macro system.

You can use your hands to count in base 12 if you want to, and some cultures have done so. Just use the segments on your fingers on one hand, using your thumb to count each segment.
